there are now 348,969 births on-line
for the York Registration District from 1837 to 1973
Thanks to Pam Elliott & her team of transcribers,
the deaths registers are now being done

1,038 births from Escrick, North Yorks, covering 1923-1937
1,185 births from Tadcaster, covering 1929-1936
(The Yorkshire BMD site has recently been updated with 39,053 births from York Register Office, York district, 1997-2005.
Please note that this leaves a gap 1974-1996 where there is no data on-line yet for births)
