Web Update members interests August 2026
On joining the Society you are invited to submit, on the form provided, a list of your family interests:
- Surname(s) being researched
- Place(s) of interest
- Chapman County Code
- Time period.
This information will then be displayed on the Society’s website allowing people to contact you via the Members’ Interests (MI) Secretary. If you would like to make contact with any member, please note their membership number and send your request to the MI Secretary.
Only members can enter their interests, but anyone can search the database, giving members wider coverage. We also take part in the members’ interest scheme run by the Family History Federation, which means that surnames entered on our website are also visible on the Federation’s national site (https://www.familyhistoryfederation.com/surname-interests). The Federation website links back to ours, so providing wider circulation.
Current members wishing to add or update their interests can do so by contacting the MI Secretary.
